About Us
Laundry Bear is a small, independent game studio based in Toronto, Canada. We love collaborating with friends to make colourful and emotionally-impactful video games. In 2017, we released our critically-acclaimed debut title A Mortician's Tale. We are currently working on our second game.

Andrew Carvalho (he/him)
Co-Founder and Technical Director
Andrew is best-known for his work on the critically-acclaimed music game Sound Shapes, as well as several other games including Blasters of the Universe, LOUD On Planet X, and Long Story.
Jayme Last (she/her)
Operations & Project Manager
A certified Scrum Master, Jayme has been working in project management and administration for indie games since 2016, including at Reptoid Games as a producer and studio manager, and as a project manager and consultant for clients such as Vivid Foundry and Mighty Yell, before joining the Laundry Bear team in 2020.
Emma Embur (she/her)
Art Director
Emma is an accomplished game artist with experience doing concept art, 2D illustration, 3D modelling and texturing, UI design, and marketing art assets. She was the primary artist on Ubisoft Toronto Indie Series winner Reptoid Games’ Fossil Hunters, Bonfire Games’ IGF finalist Pitfall Planet, and most recently the Lead Artist for the National Film Board of Canada’s VR project, The Book of Distance.
Fergui Pascual (he/him)
Technical Artist, Rigging
Fergui is a Toronto-based character artist, animator, and video game generalist, with experience creating fully animated characters and games for AI fitness, AR applications, and children's education. He has created pipelines and built out teams for Rubicon Publishing's MathUp program as a game designer, and most recently as the team lead and character artist/animator for Twenty Billion Neuron's AI fitness app, Fitness Ally.
Kat Sebele (she/her)
Programmer
Kat is an exceptional programmer with noted porting experience, most recently bringing Venba to Xbox, PS5 and Switch. She graduated from Ontario Tech and has a strong foundation in optimization and identifying bottlenecks for performance with strictly professional support from her two cats, Luna and Charlie.
Sunny Evans (she/her)
Writer, Designer
Sunny has been working as a narrative designer, developer, and writer in games since 2017 with credits on titles like Times & Galaxy, Solace State, Subserial Network, and Game for you Josh. She is also the co-founder of SnotWurm Studios, a collective of women making games.
Kai Banks (she/they)
Designer, Developer
A multi-hat developer, Kai has experience in technical art and design, character and environment art, UI design and development, and writing. They have provided game art & technical pipelines on over 10 games. Most recently, she shipped multiple children’s learning games with Sleeping Giant Games and TekyGo!.
